{"id":795,"date":"2005-04-02T21:33:22","date_gmt":"2005-04-03T04:33:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/kattywilly.com\/blog\/?p=795"},"modified":"2005-04-02T21:33:22","modified_gmt":"2005-04-03T04:33:22","slug":"hey-cheese-lovers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.kattywilly.com\/blog\/?p=795","title":{"rendered":"Hey Cheese lovers!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I am always looking for a more readily available alternative to the<br \/>\nwonderful <a href=\"http:\/\/www.uplandscheese.com\/\">Pleasant Ridge Reserve<\/a> <a class=\"moz-txt-link-rfc2396E\" href=\"http:\/\/www.uplandscheese.com\/\"><\/a>and<br \/>\nhave found something that is close.<\/p>\n<p>At our Easter dinner over with the folks (photo should be posted soon)<br \/>\nLindsey and I made this Asparagus on toasted bread with almond garlic<br \/>\npaste side dish that has a melted cheese topping.&nbsp; When we originally<br \/>\nmade the recipe we used plain grocery store Cheddar, but this time I<br \/>\nthought we could experiment a little.&nbsp; I had some Lorraine Swiss and<br \/>\ngrocery store Cheddar plus I decided to try some Fontina and this cheese<br \/>\nI found at the Fresh Market, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cowgirlcreamery.com\/show\/xmlsite\/xml-standard.xml\/xsl-cheese.xsl\/start_id-limllmkhkdmdknpamigjkonnjinedokomlfgchcb\">Midnight Moon<\/a>.&nbsp;<br \/>\nWe snacked a little on the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cypressgrovechevre.com\/abtcheese.htm\">Midnight Moon<\/a>&nbsp; while we were cooking<br \/>\nand it was the favorite of the cheeses we had on hand.&nbsp; It was still<br \/>\nquite pricey, and is a different cheese that the Pleasant Ridge, but it<br \/>\nis closer than anything I&#8217;ve been able to find locally up to now.&nbsp; The<br \/>\nfolks still have some Carr Valley 4 yr old white Cheddar so we made some<br \/>\nwith that too.&nbsp; It was way potent.&nbsp; This was not the best recipe for<br \/>\nthat cheese.<br \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am always looking for a more readily available alternative to the wonderful Pleasant Ridge Reserve and have found something that is close.
