\n \n <\/title><br \/>\n<\/head><br \/>\n<body bgcolor=\"#ffffff\" text=\"#000000\"><br \/>\n<a\n href=\"http:\/\/halleyscomment.blogspot.com\/2005\/04\/beach-ou-la-plage.html\">Halley<br \/>\nis talking<\/a> about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cabasse.com\/french\/altura\/\">French<br \/>\nspeakers<\/a> and beaches and stuff. It brought back memories of my<br \/>\nhigh school French class days. My favorite year was when had Ms. Szabo<br \/>\nand focused on conversational French. Ms. Szabo collected grenouilles<br \/>\njust like my older daughter used to do. Her favorite was a grenoui in<br \/>\nthe bottom of her coffee cup. My classmate Brad Kobitter and I would<br \/>\nmake every effort that year to speak exclusively in French whenever we<br \/>\nwere together. We would speak French during lunch, study hall,<br \/>\nwhenever we saw each other walking down the halls. We didn’t really<br \/>\nknow enough French to be able to do it correctly so we had a fair<br \/>\namount of Franglais thrown in with our French. I can hardly remember<br \/>\nany of my French, high school was a long time ago for me. I still<br \/>\nremember one of my favorite nonsense phrases though, “Le cochon tombe<br \/>\nsur la plage.”<\/p>\n<p>\n<\/body><br \/>\n<\/html><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Halley is talking about French speakers and beaches and stuff.
