\nready for the start of school.<\/a> She’s talking about the commercials
\nshowing how excited all the kids are about going back to school and how
\nit’s really the parents that should be getting new clothes and whooping
\nit up. I’m not sure what kind of single parent world she’s in but in
\nmine back to school just means more stuff piled on top of an already
\nbusy schedule. Getting kids ready for school before the ride comes at
\n6:35 am to get to school by 7:00am and then getting child number two
\nready so I can leave for work and still get there 20 minutes late.<\/p>\n
\nraisers and remembering the check for picture day and remembering to
\nmake lunches and remembering to pick them up after school and taking
\nthem to after school activities and, and, and…<\/p>\n
\nschool year we are already int our third week of school. <\/p>\n
\nback to school. Well, maybe they were just excited about buying new
\n“knee sock” and Hollister and Aeropostile and Pac Sun and Forever 21
\nand, and, and… I still remember how much fun I had going through the
\nChandlers Stationary store in Highland Park. There were all kinds of
\nreally cool stuff. Composition books, assignment books, pencils, oh and
\nthe giant rainbows of color in the cray-pas sets.<\/a> You should
\nsee Chelsey going up and down the school supply aisles with her supply
\nlist looking for just the right set of colored pencils (even though I
\nhave two thousand color pencils at home from the previous 7 years of
\nschool supplies) and psychedelic pattern covered composition books. I’m
\npretty sure Chelsey got that from me.<\/p>\n

\nYou’ll have to imagine the Beatles song<\/a>
\nplaying in the background unless of course you have the old Rubber Soul
\nalbum handy to throw on the turntable, as I can’t really bring myself to
\nplay the Britney Spears song, plus I don’t have the Britney Spear song
\nto listen to.<\/p>\n
\nme about the Girl vs.Woman thing is a thought that I’ve mentioned before
\nabout looking in the mirror and seeing this 40 something man and felling
\nlike a teenager inside. It is something I’ve been thinking about more
\nand more as I try to figure out what it means to be a widower\/single
\n‘man’ when I still feel like a ‘boy’.<\/p>\n
