Yesterday I had a wonderful time with an old friend from Deerfield. I haven’t seen Rob since High School days. I think this is the closest I’m going to get to a high school reunion. He was down on vacation and we were able to meet and talk for a few hours. He brought along some old photos that really brought back some memories.

My first new car. I would always let Cindy drive the new cars and I would take the hand me downs. I never really minded as the hand me downs were always nicer than whatever I was driving and I felt better letting her have the new cars. I decided that the little used Civic that we got to replace the old mini van that I was driving was fine when it was just to get me to work and back, but now that we were trying to use it as the ‘family’ car, it just seemed like it was too small. This one is bigger and quite a bit more comfortable.

I’m in cheese heaven! I just received some Pleasant Ridge Reserve cheese from Uplands Cheese. It is very good cheese.

I wonder sometimes which farm it was that we stopped at on one of our bicycle tours through Wisconsin. They invited us in to get some water and we were able to see some of the dairy’s operations.

Asya Schween takes incredible self portraits some are very pleasing and beautiful, and others are painfull to look at. All are amazing and full of emotion.

Here are some photos from this week ends adventures.

Lindsey had a Roller birthday party to go to so Chelsey and I went Bowling.

Food4You is great! Stephanie came over yesterday morning and set up shop in my little kitchen, although some of her equipment spilled over into the laundry room 🙂 Turns out we had a lot to chat about while she was cooking. She worked with Cindy at one time and we even knew a few of the same people from when I worked a the hospital. I totally forgot to take pictures though 🙁 I may have to have her come out again so I can take pictures this time.

It is really interesting to watch someone who is so efficient in the kitchen. Makes me think that if I practiced I could cook good food too 🙂

Last night we had Pecan Crunch Salmon with Mashed Potatoes and Roasted Asparagus. It was delicious! Chelsey even ate some. The other two meals she prepared went into the freezer for future enjoyment. They are Raspberry Balsamic Chicken served with Scalloped Potatoes, and Beef Satay with Peanut Dipping Sauce over Jasmine Rice with Green Beans and Red Peppers. Yum!!!!
