Could this perhaps be the precursor to the Wireless Internet Receiver? It is a cell phone with multimedia capabilities. The only piece that’s missing is the Wi-Fi throughput on the wireless side.
Won’t be long now…

The place where some of my blogging happens. I also do some from work, and with the iBook I blog from anywhere I can get some wireless goodness. |
So Dave is looking at property, along with other places, in Florida. I decided to look around and guess what, the house I grew up in is for sale. The two Hickory trees are still in the front yard. I remember when the arborist came out to get rid of the carpenter ant nest and plugged the hole with cement. As the years went by I curiously watched as the tree absorbed the filling. We always had some hickory nuts drying in the garage in an old tin paint can.
From a Country Wisdom email,
“Most of the stuff people worry about never happens.”
Walking down memory lane looking at the old cars today. I drive by PJ’s all the time. They have some really nice cars.
My dad had a ’69 Pontiac Gran Prix, white with black top and red interior. That car was all engine with a little space for people, and a non-existant back seat.
My first car was a yellow ’72 Beetle. Previously my older brother had a beige beetle, ’67 or ’68 I think it was, which he spray painted bright yellow with forest green fenders. We also had an orange ’69 beetle at one time.
Oh, and by the way, when we were kids growing up we used to have wacky made up slang nicknames for everything (a la Seinfeld) and would call the Karmann Ghia a Common Beater 🙂
The power was out for over an hour. It was nice to get outside for a while and play. The power is back on and we are back inside in front of our TV/Computer screens.
Next up we are off to another concert. Photos later.

“The Impression That I Get“
Have you ever been close to tragedy
Or been close to folks who have
Have you ever felt a pain so powerful
So heavy you collapse
No? Well…
I’ve never had to knock on wood
But I know someone who has
Which makes me wonder if i could
It makes me wonder if
I’ve never had to knock on wood
And I’m glad i haven’t yet
Because I’m sure it isn’t good
that’s the impression that I get
On the concept of Whole People and those that are no longer…
I took a little trip over to Widownet this morning, I hadn’t been
there for a while. It was very interesting to visit the New
Arrivals section and realize how hard it was back then, and how far
we’ve come, and how far we still have to go.
Someone was making a comment about DGI’s, people who Don’t Get It, and said,
“I swear, whole people just dont understand.“
