The PTA at Lindsey’s school…

A picture named Praha.jpg

The PTA at Lindsey’s school is sponsoring a Multicultural Fair. They asked if we wanted to do a display for the Czech Republic as that is where Lindsey’s great grandfather was from. I got out all the stuff Cindy and I brought back from our trip to Prague. It was a great trip and I’m so glad that we were able to share that experience. Andrea said she would let us use her Czech Flag and some other things from her home. It will be fun to share some of our experience with everyone.

In all the stuff from Prague were some of the pictures we took while we were there, and an informal journal where we wrote down some of the things we did while we were there. It brought back so many good memories of the trip Cindy and I took. The Charles Bridge over the river Vltava is one of the most famous sites that everyone visits when they are in Prague. The bridge’s construction began in 1357 and was completed in the early 15th century. Along the bridge are a series of statues which were added starting in 1683. Legend has it that if you rub one of the statues you will have good luck, and another you will return to Prague one day. Petr says he would like the girls to see where he skated some day. So maybe I will get the chance to go back.
