We had a wonderful Christmas in Olomouc. We had a traditional Czech
holiday with our friends. Today we had a delicious dinner of Pork with
sauerkraut and dumplings. Served with traditional Czech Plum Brandy and
the ‘real’ Budweiser. I even had a chance to taste Czech Rum.
After dinner we went to see Renata sing in a Cristmas Concert at a local church.
It has been a great experience, one I will never forget.

We are in Olomouc and getting ready for a feastive dinner at our
friends house. They started preparing last night, making
Christmas Bread and salads and preparing for the soup.
On our first night we had dinner at a wonderful
Italian restaurant in the main square.

We are getting ready to take the train off through the Czech
countryside to Olomouc. And as we are packing our bags we notice
out the window that it has started to snow.
A couple of photos from the Charles Bridge and Old Town. We had a
very nice day of sight seeing and shopping. We took some time out
to have lunch.
After a long nights sleep we awoke to a clear crisp Prague Morning, or
actually late morning. The first thing we did was Czech the
weather, 25 degrees F. We are layering our clothes and will
venture outside momentarily.
We’re Here! We made it to chilly Prague. It’s cold but
there isn’t any snow just yet. We had a nice dinner tonight and
did a little walking around the area by the hotel. I’m
borrowing Wi-Fi goodness from someone across the street, the signal is
barely enough. I’ll try to post a picture next.
Our bags are packed and we’re ready to go.
Chelsey and I were
trying to remember what it was like when Cindy and I went to Europe in
2000. It seems like a very long time ago. Things are so
very much different now. Cindy and I went in the spring, the
girls and I are going in Winter. It looks like it’s snowing tonight, it’s 6 hours earlier in Prague.
Nina Says: “Oooooh, baby. I’m telling ya, there’s nothing quite like being so umm,
deprived (not to be confused with depraved) that you want to go smoke a
cigarette after having your back touched, through your clothing, in
public.”
Oh how I can relate. The closest I’ve come is talking with an attractive young lady at a holiday party. Oh well…
