It’s hard sometimes to figure out what is worse so much emotion that you feel worn down by it, or a total lack of any emotion, a numbness. There are times when the loss and sadness are so strong that your sense of emotion for everything is enhanced. It’s almost like turning up the brightness and contrast on the TV and all the colors are bright and electric. And then there are other times when the brightness and contrast are turned way down and everything becomes so muted and gray.

One Moment More

This is the last sunset from our vacation at the beach.  We had a great time.

Can’t wait for next year.

nice sunny day at the beach.  Be sure to watch out for the sea
turtle nests,  while the girls pretend to be sea turtles and dig a
big hole.  I have been sitting under the watermelon sky, taking
pictures of big things and some little things.  And there was
another sunset last night.

We had a nice day at the beach yesterday.

It rained tonight after sunset.  There were fireworks too.

This morning we had a visit from Petey the egret. He is very
friendly, so much so that he seems fearless. I was able to get a
few “close up” photos.
