Somewhere in my RSS feeds I ended up getting pointed to Rebel Dad and an item about Dads and Daughters. He points to two articles on Ask Meta Filter. One is titled, Do I stay in school, or stay at home (dad)? about a father that is trying to choose between being a stay at home dad with a job that allows him to set his own hours and work from home, or continuing at graduate school working on his phd.
The other titled, Not just a father but a dad is about a dad that doesn’t “want to be the absent (or weekend) dad to her.”
Which made me wonder about what they would do if they were a widowed single father of two teenage girls, who is currently unemployed as he was recently laid off. Kind of a grass is always greener on the other side of the fence feeling I guess.
