Widow/Widower blogs I read.
There is another one but I can’t find it right now.
Widow/Widower blogs I read.
There is another one but I can’t find it right now.
Cindy’s birthday would have been on September 3rd. It’s been a hard few
weeks. Life can be so sad sometimes. I can’t watch the the images of the
people from New Orleans, it makes me cry.
Ima geslike this one scare me. I can’t even begin to think about the thought that my children could become lost.
And yet if the adults could somehow be more like the children. It is hard to believe that they can go through an experience like this and still smile and play.
Note: (I fixed that first link to point to the lost children image)
I’m not sure these links will work but I’ll try anyway. If they are get
broke fix them I’ll do when I get home.
I don’t know how I found this site but it is wonderful. Beautiful
photographs, which I always like, and yummy looking food, which I always
like. Put them together and it’s two of my favorite things. The only
thing that could make it even better is some interesting translations to
Engrish, like:
“This and it is and does that it is hot by being.
The grated radish is …. …. delicious.”
Scroll down to the last photo to see the delicious grated radish which
apparently is and does by being hot.
Or how about,
“When you go to the beef bowl shop early in the morning
The loved bright red ginger was much in the bottle.”
I was looking at the photos I posted from the other night and for some
reason started thinking about how digital cameras name the image files
they produce. Each manufacturer has a different naming scheme. Most of
my photos these days are taken with an old Canon A60. It names all the
images with sequential file numbers. One of the ones I posted the other
night was IMG_4096.jpg. That’s a mildly interesting number from a
programmers perspective 0x1000, but for some reason I wondered if anyone
else had posted an image from their camera possibly a Canon with the
same numbering scheme. So of course I Googled it.
What an interesting set of images. And you get a whole different
world on the web side. Sort of like the secret life of the image
named IMG_4096.jpg
David takes wonderful photographs, or maybe he just has the most beautiful subject to photograph.

Last night was another concert night. The first one in quite a while. We were misled by the website which told us the show started at 7:00 when it actually didn’t start until 9:00. So we did a little wandering around down in St. Pete. We ended up down at Baywalk. The girls went skipping down the walk and when I tried to capture it on film it was a little jumpy 🙂 |

It was a hardcore show. Lots of loud and screaming. |

The club had a seperate section for the band so I was able to hang out in the “bar” area where it was just a little more quiet as there was a DJ playing old Led Zepplin and Pink Floyd tunes. The bartender was serving up Tonic and Lime that for some reason was glowing under the black lights. She commented that I didn’t look like a hard core kind of guy 🙂 |
We have two orchids that have never bloomed after the original blooms
finished blooming. It’s been several years since either of them have bloomed.
A week or two ago the younger one started blooming. Today I
noticed that the older one that is out on the deck is blooming!

Vassar Clements has died. He was a great fiddle player. I need to go through the LP’s at home tonight and listen to some of his music.
