Places to meet single women

Halley is chatting up BlogHERCon
and how there is/was a perception that it was a women only event. As a
single guy I was thinking it might be a good place to enjoy the company
of a bunch of intelligent women. It has to be better than looking
for single women at Kinkos 🙂

We are still here, just…

We are still here, just been busy. As the end of the school year gets
near things always seem to get really crazy. Tons of school events get
thrown on top of our already hectic plate.

It was unseasonably cool this morning and I had to wonder why the
morning sky seems so clean and clear when the temperature drops.

Skating Flowers

Yesterday we travelled to Orlando to compete in the 20th Annual Florida
Open.  Lindsey didn’t skate as well as I’ve seen her skate at
practice.  We didn’t finish as high as we would have liked.
Our next competition is the Florida State Games in Coral Springs next
month.

Warming Up Waiting for Results

I was out on the deck this morning to try and get a photo of the Iris in the morning light.

Halley

Halley
is talking
about French
speakers
and beaches and stuff.  It brought back memories of my
high school French class days.  My favorite year was when had Ms. Szabo
and focused on conversational French.  Ms. Szabo collected grenouilles
just like my older daughter used to do.  Her favorite was a grenoui in
the bottom of her coffee cup.  My classmate Brad Kobitter and I would
make every effort that year to speak exclusively in French whenever we
were together.  We would speak French during lunch,  study hall,
whenever we saw each other walking down the halls.  We didn’t really
know enough French to be able to do it correctly so we had a fair
amount of Franglais thrown in with our French.  I can hardly remember
any of my French, high school was a long time ago for me.  I still
remember one of my favorite nonsense phrases though, “Le cochon tombe
sur la plage.”
