I’ve had similar thoughts, but I don’t know that my feeling is one of winning, not sure what it is, finding, growing, learning, understanding, living.

And Halley adds “and it seems a true thing — we want to think of winning [as] shiny and golden — something like a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow, but the older I get, the more I see “winners” who can simply endure and keep putting one foot in front of the other.”

That certainly gives a good description of what the girls and I do every day, “endure” as we keep putting one foot in front of the other.

The Junior Cotillion dances start soon so we went shopping
for dresses this weekend.

I’ve been collecting equipment in my cube for some reason.

My
boss thinks it’s because I have an analyzer with the cover off on my
table and that attracts other equipment and sometimes engineers too 🙂

Someone walked by and said it is starting to look like I’m an engineer, I said “yes, just like Choo Choo Charlie“.

On Yahoo there is this thing called MyYahoo where you can make a portal
like page that has all kinds of Yahoo stuff of your choosing.  For
example I display the current weather for Clearwater, Duluth, Prague
etc so I can see what it’s like where the other Kratochwills are. 
It also displays the latest sports scores for the local teams, as well
as other Yahoo content.  Well Jenny points me to
this cool new feature of MyYahoo.  I can now select outside
content to display on MyYahoo as long as it has an RSS feed.  That
includes all the different weblogs and other online content that I read
in my news aggregator. 

Basically this turns MyYahoo into a web based News Aggregator!  Cool.
